Tawni Gary

  • Certified Birth Doula, Postpartum Support & Fertility Support with BeboMia
    Medicaid (Healthy Blue) approved doula

  • Native Texan, book nerd and mother of six kids. I have a passion for supporting families to have healing, empowering, and restorative births. Through my own birth journeys and of those who I have walked alongside, I have gained knowledge and experience with: natural childbirth, homebirths, cesarean birth, NICU stays, twins, VBACs, Induction, Loss, birth trauma, and high risk pregnancies. Reclaiming birth, healing trauma, and creating new space is key when unexpected changes happen. I work with families to build their lighthouse to have in the changing waves of pregnancy and birth. We all need a guiding light we can count out to always be there through the joys and challenges of fertility, birth, and postpartum.

I have trained as a Fertility, Birth, and Postpartum Doula with Bebo Mia. I have Perinatal Mental Health training with Postpartum Support International, Breech training with Breech Without Borders, and Birth Emergency Skills Training, and have begun training with GOLD Lactation Academy.

Aneva Jefferson

  • Certified Birth Doula and Postpartum Support with Birth Advocacy Doula Trainings

  • I'm Aneva (she/her)! I was born and raised in Springfield, MO, but recently moved back after completing my Bachelors in Psychology from UMKC and my Masters in Community Development and Action from Vanderbilt University. While in Nashville, I found my passion for reproductive justice and completed my full-spectrum doula certification through a Black owned/queer led organization called Birthing Advocacy Doula Trainings (BADT). As a queer biracial woman, learning how to best show up for my communities in the birth space was of utmost importance to me. I worked with a Black birth collective based in Nashville called Homeland Heart, where I found my niche as a community doula and furthered my reproductive justice education by completing a training in perinatal mood/anxiety disorders. I am passionate about educating diverse families and birthing folks on how to advocate for themselves in the birth space and beyond!

Morgan Harris

  • Certified Birth Doula with Sista Midwife Productions

  • My compassion for women and children's health ignited when I was a little girl. From then on, I vowed to pursue a career in medicine supporting both. I am a current medical student advancing my education to better advocate for my clients. As your doula, my goal is to water the seed planted within the womb through spiritual, emotional, physical and informational support. It is vital to cultivate a sacred environment for the birthing parent and baby to thrive. Pouring into the birthing parent will allow the baby to properly grow, and enter into this world with a fruitful soul giving them the opportunity to fulfill their divine purpose. With my metaphorical and spiritual connection to water, I specialize in water births, but I am happy to provide care to all modalities of birth.

Jay Andrus

  • Village Host in Springfield
Certified CBI Birth Doula and Childbirth Educator
    Medicaid (Healthy Blue) approved doula

  • I’m Jay! She/Her. Doula work is the act of being held. I had a traumatic delivery that left myself and my team in a poor frame of mind. My team, though, is the takeaway. Through it all, I was held. My doula and my midwives ensured that I was prepared, supported and empowered throughout my pregnancy and through that delivery. It was this experience that ignited my passion for pregnancy and childbirth. As a doula I want to provide that same empowerment to all of my birthing parents. To pass along the education that will help you to make informed decisions, the confidence in your body to know it is powerful and the mental affirmations needed to ride your contractions.

Kezziah Nichols

  • DONA certified Birth Doula, Certified Hypnobirthing Educator & Placenta Encapsulator

  • I am a mama to one wild little girl. She keeps me busy and my heart full. My journey through my own pregnancy and birth is what lit the fire inside of me to start this journey in the birth world. I am a certified hypnobirthing instructor and birth doula working towards certification. If I had to say in one word what my birth doula style is going to be, it would be connection. I have always loved listening to people and being someone they can lean on. In my work as a doula and instructor, I look forward to meeting you where you are and helping you to have the birth experience you desire.

Anna Haak

  • DONA certified Birth Doula

  • After I had my first daughter, friends asked if I would support them with their births. I was unaware that being a Doula was a position at the time. My passion for women’s health and the dignity of all people led me to becoming certified through DONA, and then to begin volunteering to help in the Doula role for birthing people in need of support in hospitals. Through the past 20+ years I’ve had 8 children of my own and gained many personal experiences; births at home, birth centers, hiring a Doula for my own care, loss, and advanced maternal age among many others. My philosophy on birth is holding space for people right where they are and helping advocate for them as they journey forward. The birthing experience has long lasting implications that deeply impact the new family that is being formed and the world since we are all connected.

Alexis Guccione

  • DONA trained Birth Doula and Yoga Instructor

  • To be a doula is to be motivated by humanitarianism. I know that I am called to nurture. I see that with every baby birthed a new mother is born. For as long as I can remember, I have been inspired by the strength and glow of both mother and child in their adventure together. Born elder to my brother and sister I grew as observer and aid in the beautiful efforts of my mother and father to raise happy and healthy people. I have proudly taken on village mentality with every arrival of my nieces, nephews and five god children. I am privileged to come from a long-time background in therapeutic massage and yoga instruction. I believe my education, experience and passion in these past careers better enable me to understand with confidence the physiological and emotional possibilities of your path to new motherhood. It is my honor to be invited on this journey. My intentions are to provide educated information, physical support and unconditional open space.

Alexis Pippin

  • DONA trained Birth Doula Intern and Certified Aromatherapist

  • I had a less than ideal experience giving birth to my daughter. It was full of interventions, some of which I wasn't familiar with. This opened my eyes in a big way & led me to become a doula.

Creating & bringing life into this world is one of the most challenging & rewarding journeys life has to offer. I wholeheartedly feel that it's my calling to help support & nurture women through their journey into motherhood & beyond. It truly takes a village!

I want to help ensure you look back at your experience fondly. This is your journey, your pregnancy & your body. I want to help you feel empowered & in control throughout your entire pregnancy. I'm here to listen, educate & hold space for you. I want you to feel seen, heard & respected. I'd be honored to join your birthing team.

Kaylen King

  • Lactation Consultant CLC

  • My journey through motherhood has changed me in many ways. Through it I found connection to my intuition, confidence, and strength in ways I could have never imagined. My two son’s pregnancy’s and postpartum periods shined a light on the many ways we fall short for new parents. It set me on a 10 year course to help other families and Flourish is the result! My passion is surrounding families with love and care as they transition into their new roles. As your provider I want you to have education and resources. I want you to feel seen and heard. Your experience as a parent matters and with care and support it can be a beautiful gentle transformation.

We believe that all parents deserve compassionate care, education, expert support, and community. With our amazing group of care providers, childbirth education, parenting classes, and community events, we are able to care for and support families in Springfield and Joplin the way they deserve. After all, it takes a village!

You’re not in this alone, let’s flourish together!
