  • I'm Aneva (she/her)! I was born and raised in Springfield, MO, but recently moved back after completing my Bachelors in Psychology from UMKC and my Masters in Community Development and Action from Vanderbilt University. While in Nashville, I found my passion for reproductive justice and completed my full-spectrum doula certification through a Black owned/queer led organization called Birthing Advocacy Doula Trainings (BADT). As a queer biracial woman, learning how to best show up for my communities in the birth space was of utmost importance to me. I worked with a Black birth collective based in Nashville called Homeland Heart, where I found my niche as a community doula and furthered my reproductive justice education by completing a training in perinatal mood/anxiety disorders. I am passionate about educating diverse families and birthing folks on how to advocate for themselves in the birth space and beyond!

  • I was Inspired to doula work through my own postpartum journey. As a single mother moving through heavy emotions, I learned how powerful it is to have someone simply there someone to listen, understand, and hold space without judgment. That experience showed me how deeply mothers need support beyond the birth itself.

    I am a Reiki healer, certified herbalist, certified life coach, and yoga instructor with a naturally nurturing presence. My approach is calm, intuitive, and centered on the mother. I support emotional grounding through breathwork, meditation, gentle movement, and holistic wellness creating space for mothers to feel safe, seen, and supported beyond the physical experience of birth.

    I believe when a mother feels supported, everything shifts. My role is to honor her needs, her voice, and her experience reminding her that she also matters.

  • After I had my first daughter, friends asked if I would support them with their births. I was unaware that being a Doula was a position at the time. My passion for women’s health and the dignity of all people led me to becoming certified through DONA, and then to begin volunteering to help in the Doula role for birthing people in need of support in hospitals. Through the past years I’ve had 8 children of my own and gained many personal experiences; births at home, birth centers, hiring a Doula for my own care, loss, and advanced maternal age among many others. My philosophy on birth is holding space for people right where they are and helping advocate for them as they journey forward. The birthing experience has long lasting implications that deeply impact the new family that is being formed and the world since we are all connected.

    She has worked in the birth community for the last 6 years but took the leap to become certified after her own positive birth experience in 2021.

    Kezziah enjoys spending time with her daughter, family and 2 dogs. On any given weekend you can find her outside exploring new trails and places with her friends.

    Ziah is deeply passionate about educating and advocating for a calm and mindful birth. She believes everyone is deserving and capable of a empowering and beautiful birth experience.
