April Childbirth Class with Kezziah
Over the course of the 4 weeks, participants will learn about the birth process, including the stages of labor and what to expect during each stage. They will also learn about their birthing rights and how to create a birth plan that reflects their individual preferences and needs.
The classes will cover coping techniques and pain management strategies, including both non-medical and medical options, so that participants can make informed choices about their care during labor and birth.
In addition, the series will provide in-depth information about interventions that may be offered during labor and birth, including the benefits and risks of each option. This information will empower participants to make informed decisions about their care and advocate for themselves during the birth process.
Finally, the series will prepare participants for the postpartum period, including what to expect physically and emotionally, and how to best care for themselves and their baby during this important time.

Kaylen will cover the basics of breastfeeding, including latch and positioning techniques, common challenges, and how to know if your baby is getting enough milk. She will also discuss the benefits of breastfeeding for both baby and parent, as well as the role that partners can play in supporting the breastfeeding relationship.
Participants will have access to online resources, including videos and articles, to help them continue their learning and preparation after the class. Additionally, Kaylen is offering a discounted lactation visit for participants, which can be scheduled after the birth of their baby.

Flourish Family Doulas Breastfeeding Support Group is a welcoming and supportive community for parents who are looking for guidance, advice, and connection related to breastfeeding. Hosted by experienced lactation consultant Kaylen King, this group provides a safe and non-judgmental space for parents to ask questions and share their experiences.
Whether you are exclusively breastfeeding, bottle-feeding, mixed-feeding, or pumping, this group is open to all types of feeding and welcomes everyone. You don't need to have specific concerns or questions to attend – this group is simply a place to connect with other parents who understand the challenges and joys of breastfeeding.
